The mind is seperated into the conscious and subconscious.
 
The conscious mind is the decision maker. It decides what is right or wrong for you, what you accept as truth etc. But the interesting part is that all the decisions made by the conscious mind are determined by the subconscious mind.

The subconscious mind is a storage system and has no reasoning skills - that's the job of the conscious mind ( to decide what to accept as a new belief or truth etc ).
